Live: Cavern Club, Liverpool (kvällsspelning)
Efter att ha genomlevt två hektiska dagar i London påbörjade The Beatles den långa färden tillbaka till Liverpool på morgonen denna dag.
De ankom till Liverpool precis i tid för att genomföra onsdagens kvällsspelning på The Cavern Club.
Dock var hemresan från London inte fri från incidenter. Vindrutan på bilen, som rattades av Mal Evans, gick sönder på grund av stenskott, så stackars Mal fick fortsätta och köra bilen i det bistert kalla vädret med låga temperaturer.
Så här minns Paul McCartney händelsen (från The Anthology):
I do remember one incident: going up the motorway when the windscreen got knocked out by a pebble. Our great road manager Mal Evans was driving and he just put his hat backwards on his hand, punched the windscreen out completely, and drove on. This was winter in Britain and there was freezing fog and Mal was having to look out for the kerb all the way up to Liverpool.
På kvällsspelningen på The Cavern Club spelade -förutom The Beatles – The Fourmost, Ken Dallas and the Silhouettes och Freddie Starr and The Midnighters.
Detta var The Beatles 273:e framträdande totalt på The Cavern Club, tillika deras 121:a kvällsspelning.
